Give it a few days and I'm sure Frenchy will have a better wrap-up than this in the pipe. As some consolation, there's a heap of pictures over here.
8th Apr 2009 - Hyden 450 Scrutineering
Threw a few pictures taken during scrutineering onto the photos page.
6th Apr 2009 - Hyden 450 Miscellaneous Stuff
A few notes regarding this weekend's activities:
Pit Crew - Anyone with pit crew that have not signed on can do so by seeking out Brenda from THUR onwards. On FRI interstate competitors will have priority for their scrutiny and documentation and locals will have to be patient. The more that she can cover on THUR the less to do while scrutiny is on on FRI.
Gate Entry - Will be $10 per head with kids under 12 free. Anyone with an official, competitor, pit crew or media pass will be free. If you don’t have your pass yet when you go through the gate you will have to pay and redeem the $10 when you sign on with Brenda.
Drive Safely - Rumour has it that gravel being thrown up by vehicular transport passing through roadworks (there's some just before Kondinin) has absolutely no impact on radar gun readings... Aside from it being a double-demerit weekend, we'd all rather see everyone get to and from the track safely. Stick to those posted limits and stop if you're tired.
5th Apr 2009 - Hyden 450 Supp. Regs. Update
The supplementary regulations for the Hyden 450 have been updated. Of specific interest to competitors; the starting interval in Section 1 has been reduced from 1min to 30sec. For the full document, go here. All pit crew must also have submitted a signed copy of the pit crew disclaimer form. Gotta love documentation...
25th Mar 2009 - Hyden 450 Final Entry List
Entries have now closed for the Hyden 450. Just under 90 vehicles, with most of the fastest offroad cars in Australia, will be in the mix for outright positions in the upcoming ARB-Pinjarra Engineering sponsored event. Full entry list is here. There's also a few pictures from last year on the photos page.
18th Mar 2009 - Hyden 450 Current Entry List
Attached here is probably the final entry list to be released before entries close in 3 days time. Prospective Hyden 450 competitors should note that sending an entry soon* would be a really good idea if they wish to actually race; as leaving your race car next to the caravan for the entire weekend is probably not your idea of fun...
* where 'soon' is defined as being between when you first read this and your next meal.
11th Mar 2009 - Hyden 450 Current Entry List
A total of 53 entries have now been received for the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 2009, to be run in early April. This includes a field of 23 Pro Buggies, and with more entries to come it looks like a bumper field is going to be competing during the 1st AORC round for 2009. Entries close on the 21st March, so there's still heaps of time to get one in if you haven't already. The current entry list is here.
10th Mar 2008 - Hyden 450 Fuel Orders
BP Ultimate 98 (only) will be available onsite to those teams who have pre-ordered their fuel. The fuel will be delivered to the track a couple of days before the race, and with a new tank filter, it should be pretty clean and fresh when teams get it. Fill out this form and email it to or post it to the given address. Deposits can be paid either by cheque or via EFT (details here). Note that the deposit is $1.40 per litre, and refunds will be provided. Orders should be received no later than the 3rd April.

12th Feb 2009 - General Meeting
A WDR general meeting has been setup for Tues 17th Feb 2009, ostensibly to provide an opportunity for people to update their membership before the first WAORC event out at Yealering. It appears there may also be some animated discussion regarding the appointment procedures currently in use (or not) by the State Council. At the very least it'll be good opportunity to have a beer and a chat... An electronic version of the paper copy of the meeting notice is here. An up-to-date membership form is here.
Also updated a few things around the site: 2009 exec committee, 2009 calendar, CAMS minutes.
